Capabilities
Industrial Wood Products, Inc. can deliver top-quality comprehensive wood fabrication and components as well as plastic components by using our full range of woodworking and machining equipment and capabilities. IWP also offers assembly and packaging services.
Panel Processing
A Holzma panel saw equipped with automatic material feeding, has a capacity of 12’x12’, providing the flexibility needed to cut full sheets into parts. This automated system will rip and crosscut full sheets in books up to 4-1/2” thick. Cut parts are done accurately and with speed, lowering the cutting costs and improving delivery time. The side-loading programmable Holzma is versatile, giving IWP a full range of cutting possibilities.
Edgebanding
The Homag and Brandt Opimat and Contour model edgebanders give IWP the ability to automatically apply polyester, PVC, solid wood and veneer edgeband to a variety of materials. The Doucet return system automates the process adding efficiencies and cost reduction to the edgebanding operation.
In addition to the straight edgebanders, our Homag BAZ 41 Processing Center is capable of contour edgebanding. The BAZ 41 also trims the top and bottom of the edgebanding and perfectly seams the joint.
T-Mold edgebanding capability provides an additional service to our customers who require this alternative or preference.
Laminating
Our Black Brothers cold press laminating line has a sheet capacity of 5’x12’. Having this capacity in house gives IWP a competitive edge and allows us to better control delivery and costs, adding to our ability to provide finished goods On-Time and On-Budget.
CNC Routing
Seven CNC routers by Heian, Shoda, Axxiom, Weeke, Powermatic and Homag incorporate up to 6 routing spindles and 3 drilling heads per machine, several with automatic tool changers, translating to an extremely versatile router department. Two Heian routers are equipped with twin work tables for a total capacity of 51”x120” work areas.
CNC Boring Machines
The Weeke BP120 Point-to-Point and the Homag BAZ 41 Processing Center lead the IWP stable of automated boring machines. The BAZ 41 utilizes 17 vertical & 4 horizontal boring spindles, 1 routing spindle (with 12 place tool changer) and grooving saw over the 4x10 foot bed. The Weeke BP120 utilizes 19 vertical and 4 horizontal boring spindles, 2 routing spindles (1 with automatic tool changer) and grooving saw, also incorporating a 4x10 foot bed.
Additional boring capacity is supplied by Busellato and Z&B boring machines. These line-boring machines offer vertical and horizontal rows of 21 and 39 spindles respectively.
IWP has integrated software to program parts and can translate your CAD files to machine programs for download into our CNC machining centers.
